Bolbitis appendiculata is a species in the Dryopteridaceae family, found in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. It grows as a lithophyte in evergreen forests and is distributed across India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Borneo, Myanmar, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Java, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sumatra, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The plant features dimorphic fronds, with sterile lamina being dark green, simply pinnate, and stalked. Fertile lamina are narrower, elliptic, and have an unequal base. Sporangia are dark brown to black and cover most of the underside of the leaves.
