Petasites japonicus, known as bog rhubarb, is a herbaceous perennial in the Asteraceae family. Native to China, Japan, Korea, and Sakhalin, it has been introduced to Europe and North America, including British Columbia, Canada. It was introduced to southern British Columbia by Japanese migrants.
