Oclemena nemoralis, commonly called Bog Aster, is a member of the Asteraceae family. It is native to regions including Labrador, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, and parts of the United States such as Vermont, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The species was first described in 1903 and plays a role as a parent species in the formation of the hybrid Blake's aster.
