Moehringia lateriflora, known as Blunt-Leaf Grove-Sandwort, is a species in the Caryophyllaceae family. It is native to Europe, Asia, the northern United States, and most of Canada. It is reported from every Canadian province and territory except the Northwest Territories, as well as from most northern U.S. states, including Alaska, New Mexico, and Saint Pierre and Miquelon. It is also found in Russia, China, Korea, Mongolia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, and Ukraine.
Description
Moehringia lateriflora is a plant species in the Caryophyllaceae family. It is native to a wide range of regions, including Europe, Asia, the northern United States, and most of Canada. It is reported from every Canadian province and territory except the Northwest Territories. In the U.S., it is found in the northern half of the country, including Alaska, New Mexico, and Saint Pierre and Miquelon. It is also present in Russia, China, Korea, Mongolia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, and Ukraine. The species was first described in 1833.
