Cynoglossum creticum, commonly known as Blue hound's tongue, is a species in the Boraginaceae family. It was first described by Mill. in 1768. The plant is native to several regions, including the Azores, Madeira, Portugal, and parts of Central and Eastern Europe.

Description

Cynoglossum creticum is a member of the Boraginaceae family, which includes flowering plants often found in temperate regions. It is distributed across Açores, Madeira, Portugal Continental, and various islands such as Corvo, Flores, Graciosa, Pico, Santa Maria, São Miguel, Terceira, Madeira, and Porto Santo. Its range also extends to CL, UZ, KG, AR, Azores, Hungary, Ukraine, and SE. The species was first published in 1768 and is recognized by its common name, Blue hound's tongue, in English and other languages.
