Blotiella glabra (Bory) R.M.Tryon is a species in the fern family Dennstaedtiaceae, native to various regions in Africa and surrounding islands.

Description

Blotiella glabra is a member of the Dennstaedtiaceae family, a group of ferns commonly known as the bracken fern family. It is distributed across several African countries including Burundi, Cameroon, the Cape Provinces, Ethiopia, Gabon, the Gulf of Guinea Islands, KwaZulu-Natal, Madagascar, Mozambique, the Northern Provinces, Rwanda, Réunion, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia, Zaïre, and Zimbabwe. The species was formally described in 1962 by R.M. Tryon, based on earlier work by Bory. It is part of the genus Blotiella, which includes several fern species primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions.
