Cardiopteris moluccana, known as blood vine, is a climbing plant in the family Cardiopteridaceae. It is native to regions including the Philippines, Bismarck Archipelago, Maluku, New Guinea, Sulawesi, and Queensland, Australia. The plant was first described by Carl Ludwig Blume in 1847.

Description

Cardiopteris moluccana is a twining vine with a stem that can reach up to 12 cm in diameter. Its outer bark features deep, longitudinal corky ridges, and the leaves are typically hastate in shape. This species is part of the Cardiopteridaceae family and is distributed across tropical regions of Southeast Asia and the Pacific. It was scientifically documented by Carl Ludwig Blume in 1847.
