Aristolochia clematitis, known as European birthwort, is a twining herbaceous plant in the Aristolochiaceae family. It is native to much of central and southern Europe and parts of western Asia, and has become naturalised in northern Europe.

Description

Aristolochia clematitis is a member of the Aristolochiaceae family and is found in regions such as Ontario, Quebec, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Denmark, Finland, and others. First described in 1753, it is a native species of central and southern Europe and parts of western Asia, with a distribution that extends further north in Europe.
