Description
Ochna jabotapita L. is a member of the Ochnaceae family and is found in several regions of South and Southeast Asia. In 1762, Linnaeus limited the application of the name to a specific variety, excluding the original type. This later name became a homonym but was selected as the lectotype for Gomphia Schreb. The species has been noted in taxonomic discussions for its nomenclatural history.
