Biophytum reinwardtii is a species in the Oxalidaceae family, first described in 1861. It is distributed across multiple regions including the Andaman Islands, Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Southeast China, the East Himalaya, India, Java, Malaya, Myanmar, Nepal, New Guinea, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Sulawesi, Thailand, Trinidad-Tobago, and the West Himalaya.

Description

Biophytum reinwardtii (Zucc.) Klotzsch is a member of the Oxalidaceae family, known for its wide geographic range. It is found in the Andaman Islands, Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Southeast China, the East Himalaya, India, Java, Malaya, Myanmar, Nepal, New Guinea, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Sulawesi, Thailand, Trinidad-Tobago, and the West Himalaya. The species was formally described in 1861. It is part of the genus Biophytum, which includes various herbaceous plants often characterized by their trifoliate leaves and small flowers.
