Geum macrophyllum is a flowering plant in the Rosaceae family, commonly known as Big-Leaf Avens. It is native to regions including DK, IS, RU, Belgium, Flemish Region, France, The Netherlands, Great Britain, GB, NO, BY, Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, European part of Russia, Sweden, and England. It was first described in 1809 by Willd.

Description

Geum macrophyllum, also called largeleaf avens or large-leaved avens, is a flowering plant species found in the Arctic and extending southward to the northern U.S. states, the Rocky Mountains, and the Sierra Nevada in California, reaching as far south as Northwestern Mexico. It is a member of the Rosaceae family and is distributed across several European and northern regions.
