Crocanthemum bicknellii, known as Bicknell's Frostweed, is a member of the Cistaceae family. It is native to several regions in North America, including Manitoba, Ontario, Vermont, Arkansas, Colorado, and many other states in the United States and Canada. The species was first described in 1925 by (Fernald) Janch.

Its distribution spans from Manitoba and Ontario in Canada to various U.S. states, including Vermont, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska. This species is part of the Cistaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as rockrose or the Cistus family. The scientific name was established in 1925 by (Fernald) Janch.
