Cupressus cashmeriana, known as the Bhutan cypress, is an evergreen conifer native to the eastern Himalaya in Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is also found in China and Nepal. This species typically grows at altitudes between 1,250 and 2,800 metres.

Description

Cupressus cashmeriana is a member of the Cupressaceae family and is native to the eastern Himalaya. It is commonly found in Bhutan and adjacent regions of Arunachal Pradesh in northeastern India. The species has been introduced to China and Nepal. It thrives at altitudes ranging from 1,250 to 2,800 metres. Classified as vulnerable by the IUCN as of 2006, it is an important species in its native range.
