Description

Berzelia rubra, described by Schltdl. in 1831, is a member of the Bruniaceae family. It is endemic to the Cape Provinces, specifically the Western Cape. The plant grows in the Kleinrivier Mountains, where its distribution is highly restricted. Due to its limited range and the encroachment of invasive species, such as those in the genera Pinus and Hakea, the species faces significant conservation challenges.
