Moringa peregrina is a flowering plant species in the Moringaceae family, native to the Horn of Africa, Sudan, Egypt, the Arabian Peninsula, and parts of the Middle East. It is commonly known as bentree and is adapted to arid environments, growing in rocky wadis and on cliffs.

Description

Moringa peregrina (Forssk.) Fiori is a species in the Moringaceae family, distributed across Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, the Gulf States, Lebanon-Syria, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sinai, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. It is well-suited to dry climates and is typically found in rocky wadis and on cliffs. The species was first described in 1911 and is part of the Moringa genus.
