Pinus kesiya, known as Benguet Pine, is a pine species in the family Pinaceae. It is one of the most widely distributed pines in Southeast Asia, with a range extending from the Khasi Hills in Meghalaya, India, through Burma, northern Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, southernmost China, Vietnam, and the Philippines. It is also cultivated in other regions, including southern Africa and South America.

Description

Pinus kesiya is native to several regions in Southeast Asia and South Asia, including Meghalaya, Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China South-Central, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Tibet, and Vietnam. It was first described in 1840 by Royle ex Gordon. The species is notable for its broad distribution and is used as an important plantation tree in various parts of the world outside its native range.
