Vigna marina is a prostrate, creeping vine and a perennial legume in the Fabaceae family. Commonly known as beach pea, it is found in various regions including BR, TW, CU, AS, Antioquia, Global, Aldabra, Andaman Is., Bangladesh, Bismarck Archipelago, Borneo, Brazil Northeast, Cameroon, Caroline Is., Central African Repu, Chagos Archipelago, China Southeast, Cocos (Keeling) Is., Colombia, and Congo. The species was published in 1917.

Description

Vigna marina, also referred to as nanea or notched cowpea, is a perennial plant that grows as a prostrate, creeping vine. It belongs to the genus Vigna within the legume family Fabaceae. The species has a wide distribution, occurring in coastal and tropical regions across multiple continents and islands. It was first described in 1917 under the scientific name (Burm.) Merr.
