Description
Melocactus intortus is a member of the Cactaceae family and is distributed across the Caribbean, including the Bahamas, the Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Windward Islands. It is commonly referred to as the Turk's head cactus and is endemic to this region. The species was first described in 1919.
