Banksia squarrosa, commonly known as pingle, is a prickly shrub endemic to Western Australia. It is a member of the Proteaceae family and was published in 2007 under the scientific name (R.Br.) A.R.Mast & K.R.Thiele.

Description

Banksia squarrosa is characterized by its linear to narrow lance-shaped leaves, each side of which has up to ten sharply-pointed teeth. The plant produces yellow flowers arranged in heads of about sixty, followed by the development of up to seven oblong to egg-shaped follicles per head. This species is native to Western Australia and is part of the genus Banksia.
