Banksia horrida, known as prickly dryandra, is a shrub native to Western Australia. It features hairy stems, linear pinnatifid leaves with sharp teeth, and flower heads containing up to sixty cream-coloured flowers. The species produces hairy, egg-shaped follicles.

Description

Banksia horrida is a member of the Proteaceae family and is found exclusively in Western Australia. The plant has hairy stems and leaves that are linear in shape with pinnatifid margins and sharp teeth along the edges. Each flower head contains up to sixty cream-coloured flowers. The fruit consists of hairy, egg-shaped follicles. The species was formally described in 2007 by A.R. Mast and K.R. Thiele, based on earlier work by Meisner.
