Banksia columnaris is a column-like shrub native to Western Australia. It is characterized by pinnatifid leaves with five to eighteen lobes on each side, and pale yellow to purple flower heads. Typically, only one or two follicles develop per flower head.

Banksia columnaris belongs to the Proteaceae family and is found exclusively in Western Australia. The species features distinctive pinnatifid leaves with five to eighteen lobes on each side. Its flower heads range in color from pale yellow to purple, and generally produce only one or two follicles per head. This species was formally described in 2007 by A.R. Mast and K.R. Thiele.
