Banisteriopsis campestris is a species in the Malpighiaceae family, native to regions in Brazil and Bolivia. It is documented in the campo rupestre vegetation of Itacolomi State Park, Calais, MG, Brazil, and is also found in various Brazilian regions including the Northeast, North, Southeast, South, and West-Central. The species was first described in 1959 by Little, based on the work of A.Juss.

Banisteriopsis campestris belongs to the Malpighiaceae family and is found in the campo rupestre vegetation of Itacolomi State Park, Calais, MG, Brazil. This species is also distributed across several regions in Brazil and Bolivia. The plant is associated with the campo rupestre ecosystem, a type of vegetation characterized by open, rocky landscapes. The scientific description of the species was published in 1959 by Little, building upon the original work by A.Juss.
