Bacopa crenata, also known as waterhyssop, brahmi, or moneywort, is a medicinal herb native to tropical Africa and Madagascar. It is a member of the Plantaginaceae family and is found in regions such as Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, KwaZulu-Natal, Liberia, Madagascar, and Malawi. The species was first described in 1960.
