Pinus teocote, known as Aztec Pine, is a conifer in the Pinaceae family. It is native to Mexico and can grow up to 30 m tall with a trunk diameter of 75 cm. It typically has a straight trunk and a dense canopy. This species is found at elevations between 1,500 and 3,000 m, where most of the annual rainfall occurs during the summer months.

Description

Pinus teocote is a tall conifer species that is endemic to Mexico. It is part of the Pinaceae family and is commonly called Aztec Pine. The tree can reach heights of 20–30 m and has a trunk diameter of up to 75 cm. It features a straight trunk and a dense crown. This species is adapted to high elevations, growing between 1,500 and 3,000 m. Its habitat experiences most of its rainfall during the summer season.
