Austrobuxus swainii is a rainforest tree species in the Picrodendraceae family, found in northeast New South Wales and southeastern Queensland. It is known by the common names pink cherry or hairybark and is listed as a threatened species with a ROTAP rating of 3RCa.

Description

Austrobuxus swainii grows in high rainfall areas with less fertile sedimentary soils, often in association with coachwood. Its distribution ranges from the Bellinger River in the south to Tallebudgera Creek in the north. This species was first described in 1971 and belongs to the genus Austrobuxus. It is considered rare and is recognized as a threatened species in conservation assessments.
