Description
Hosta plantaginea (Lam.) Asch. is a member of the Asparagaceae family and is native to China. It is known for its fragrant flowers and is the only fragrant species in the Hosta genus. The plant typically grows in the herb layer of mountain forests at elevations under 2000 m. It has been introduced to and is now naturalized in parts of North America, Europe, and Asia.
