Description

Audouinia capitata (L.) Brongn., a member of the Bruniaceae family, is a perennial shrub found in the Western Cape of South Africa. It is endemic to this region and grows from Cape Point to Caledon. The plant is part of the fynbos biome and is classified as rare. The species was first described in 1826.
