Aubrieta libanotica is a flowering plant in the Brassicaceae family, native to Lebanon and parts of Syria. It is commonly known as Lebanese rock cress. The species was first described in 1849 by Boiss. & Hohen. The genus is named after Claude Aubriet, a French flower painter.

Description

Aubrieta libanotica, known as Lebanese rock cress, is a member of the Brassicaceae (mustard) family. It is native to the mountainous regions of Lebanon and extends into parts of Syria. The species was formally described in 1849 by Boiss. & Hohen. The genus name honors Claude Aubriet, a French flower painter. This plant is adapted to rocky, alpine environments typical of its native range.
