Atrichum tenellum (Röhl.) Bruch & Schimp. is a moss species in the family Polytrichaceae. It is known as atrichum moss and is found in regions such as Labrador, Québec, Terceira Island, Flanders, Vermont-US, NO, DK, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Flemish Region. The species was first described in 1844.

Description

Atrichum tenellum is a member of the Polytrichaceae family and is also referred to as the slender smoothcap. It is listed as critically endangered in Iceland, where it is restricted to two geothermal areas. The species has a limited distribution across parts of North America, Europe, and the Atlantic.
