Ascarina rubricaulis

Ascarina rubricaulis is a plant species within the genus Ascarina of the family Chloranthaceae. The species was formally published in 1869 by the botanist Solms. It is naturally found in New Caledonia, an island nation in the southwest Pacific Ocean. The genus Ascarina is a small group within the Chloranthaceae, a family of flowering plants with a limited geographic distribution. Ascarina rubricaulis is one of the few species in the genus and is part of the unique flora of New Caledonia.
