Pinus cembra, also known as Arolla Pine, is a pine tree species in the genus Pinus and the family Pinaceae. It is native to regions including Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, and others. The species was first described in 1753.

Description

Pinus cembra is a member of the subgenus Strobus within the genus Pinus. It is commonly referred to as Swiss pine, Swiss stone pine, Arolla pine, or Austrian stone pine. The tree is found in various parts of Europe, including Ontario, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Croatia, Ireland, Norway, Argentina, Sweden, Estonia, Armenia, and several other countries. It is part of the pine family, Pinaceae, and has been documented in botanical records since 1753.
