Specific locations include the Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de Chiribiquete, Caquetá, Guaviare, and the departamento del Guainía, municipio de Inírida in Colombia.
Description
Archytaea triflora belongs to the genus Archytaea and is part of the Bonnetiaceae family. The species has a distribution that spans across northern Amazonia, with records from Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, and Venezuela. In Colombia, it is documented in the Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de Chiribiquete (PNNSCh), as well as in the departments of Caquetá, Guaviare, and Guainía, specifically in the municipio de Inírida. The species was first formally described in 1825 by Mart.
