Vachellia nilotica is a flowering tree in the family Fabaceae, native to Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. It is also known by the common names gum arabic tree, babul, thorn mimosa, Egyptian acacia, or thorny acacia. The species was published in 2008 and is distributed across numerous regions including Saint Barthelemy, Algeria, Andaman Is., Angola, Argentina Northeast, Assam, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Benin, Bolivia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, and many others.

Description
