Mentha suaveolens, also referred to as pineapple mint, woolly mint, or round-leafed mint, is a member of the mint family Lamiaceae. It is a herbaceous, upright perennial plant that is native to southern and western Europe, including the Mediterranean region. This species is commonly grown for culinary purposes or used as ground cover. It was first described in 1792 and is found in regions such as British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, the Açores, Madeira, and several other islands in the Atlantic. Its scientific name was published by Ehrh.
