Hydrophyllum appendiculatum, known as appendaged waterleaf, is a biennial plant native to central and eastern North America. It is found in regions such as the Midwest and Upper South of the United States. The plant produces lavender flowers in late spring and early summer. It belongs to the genus Hydrophyllum in the family Hydrophyllaceae.

Description

Hydrophyllum appendiculatum, commonly referred to as appendaged waterleaf, is a biennial species that occurs in several U.S. states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. It is also found in Ontario, Canada. This plant is characterized by its lavender flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer. It is part of the Hydrophyllaceae family and is one of the species within the Hydrophyllum genus.
