Crepidomanes intricatum is a fern species in the Hymenophyllaceae family, commonly known as the weft fern or Appalachian trichomanes. It was first described under the genus Trichomanes and later reclassified under Crepidomanes. The species is native to Vermont in the United States and Quebec in Canada. The name was published in 2011. While the genus Crepidomanes is recognized by the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group (2016), some taxonomic sources continue to treat it as part of Trichomanes.

Description

Crepidomanes intricatum is a member of the Hymenophyllaceae family, a group of ferns commonly referred to as filmy ferns. It is found in the Appalachian region, specifically in Vermont and Quebec. The species was formally described in 2011 under the new combination (Farrar) Ebihara & Weakley. Taxonomic treatments vary, with the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group (2016) recognizing the genus Crepidomanes, while other sources, including Plants of the World Online as of October 2019, have merged it back into Trichomanes. The species is known by the common names weft fern and Appalachian trichomanes.
