Aponogeton vallisnerioides is a species in the Aponogetonaceae family, native to the Afrotropical region. It was first described in 1875 by Baker.

Description

Aponogeton vallisnerioides is a member of the Aponogeton genus and is found in several countries across the Afrotropical region, including Burkina, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, and Zaïre. The species was formally described in 1875 by the botanist Baker. It belongs to the Aponogetonaceae family, a group of aquatic plants.
