Aponogeton satarensis is an aquatic herb in the Aponogetonaceae family, found in the northern Western Ghats of India. It is known by the common names Satara lace plant and Satara aponogeton, and as 'y-tura' in Marathi.

Description

Aponogeton satarensis is a species native to the northern Western Ghats in Maharashtra, India. It belongs to the Aponogetonaceae family and was first described in 1982 by Sundararagh., A.R.Kulk., and S.R.Yadav. The plant is sometimes referred to as the Satara lace plant and is known locally in Marathi as 'y-tura' (वायतुरा). This aquatic herb is part of the Oriental (Indomalaya) and global distributions of the genus Aponogeton.
