Aponogeton rigidifolius is a freshwater plant species native to Sri Lanka, belonging to the Aponogetonaceae family. It was first described in 1962 by H. Bruggen.

Description

This species is found in the Oriental (Indomalaya) region, specifically in Sri Lanka. In its natural habitat, Aponogeton rigidifolius thrives in deep water environments where temperatures range between 68 and 77 °F. It grows in sandy soil with a water pH of 7.2. As a member of the Aponogeton genus, it is part of a group of aquatic plants known for their ornamental and ecological value in freshwater ecosystems.
