Pinus engelmannii, or Apache Pine, is a medium-sized pine species native to the Sierra Madre Occidental in Northern Mexico, with a range extending into the Southwestern United States. It typically reaches heights of 20–30 metres and has a trunk diameter of 35–80 centimetres.

Description

Pinus engelmannii belongs to the genus Pinus in the family Pinaceae. It is found in regions including Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of Northern Mexico such as Mexico Northeast and Mexico Northwest. First described in 1854 by Carrière, this pine species is commonly referred to as Apache Pine in English and other languages.
