Antidesma montanum, described by Blume in 1827, is a tree species in the family Phyllanthaceae. It is native to Southeast Asia, ranging from India to the Philippines. The tree can reach heights of up to 10 m (33 ft), and its fruits are edible. Four varieties are recognized, with Antidesma obliquinervium being a synonym for A. montanum var. montanum.

Description

Antidesma montanum is a member of the genus Antidesma within the family Phyllanthaceae. It is distributed across several regions including the Andaman Islands, Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, China (South-Central and Southeast), East Himalaya, Hainan, India, Java, Laos, the Lesser Sunda Islands, Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, the Nansei-shoto, New Guinea, and the Nicobar Islands. The species is known for its edible fruits and is recognized in four accepted varieties, each with multiple synonyms. The plant was first published in 1827 by Blume.
