Staphylea pinnata, known as Anthony Nut, is a species native to Europe and naturalized in Britain. It is part of the Staphyleaceae family and was first described in 1753 by L.

Description

Staphylea pinnata, commonly referred to as Anthony Nut, is a member of the Staphyleaceae family. It is native to regions including Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, as well as parts of Central and Northern Europe. The species was first published by L. in 1753. It is also naturalized in some areas outside its native range. The genus Staphylea includes several species, and S. pinnata is one of the more widely recognized members.
