Angiopteris yunnanensis is a species in the genus Angiopteris, belonging to the family Marattiaceae. It was first described in 1919 by Hieron. This fern is native to South-Central and Southeast China, as well as Vietnam.

Description

Angiopteris yunnanensis is a member of the Marattiaceae family, a group of ferns characterized by large, leathery fronds and a distinct sporangium structure. The species is distributed across South-Central and Southeast China and extends into Vietnam. It was formally described in 1919 by the botanist Hieron. As part of the genus Angiopteris, it shares traits with other members of this group, including a unique vascular system and a tendency to grow in moist, tropical environments.
