Angelica keiskei, known as ashitaba in Japanese, is a flowering plant in the carrot family (Apiaceae). It is native to Japan's Pacific Coast, including the Bōsō Peninsula, Miura Peninsula, Izu Peninsula, and the Izu Islands. The species has been cultivated beyond its native range.

Description

Angelica keiskei, also called ashitaba, is a species of the genus Angelica in the Apiaceae family. It is indigenous to Japan, particularly along the Pacific Coast. It has been introduced and cultivated in other regions outside its natural distribution. The species was first described in 1930 by Koidz.
