Angelica japonica is a flowering plant species in the family Apiaceae, native to Japan, Korea, Nansei-shoto, Ogasawara-shoto, and Taiwan. It was first described in 1859 by A. Gray. The species is commonly found along coastal areas in its native range.

Description

Angelica japonica is a member of the carrot family (Apiaceae) and is distributed across several regions in East Asia. It occurs naturally in Japan, Korea, the Nansei-shoto and Ogasawara-shoto archipelagos, and Taiwan. The species is typically found in coastal habitats. It was formally described in 1859 by the botanist A. Gray.
