Datura ferox is a species of Datura in the Solanaceae family. It is known by the common name Angel's-trumpets and is distributed across regions including TN, ZA, Rapa Nui, CL, HR, SA, AE, Belgium, BR, GB, IT, BW, DK, AT, ET, SZ, FR, and GR. The species was first published in 1753 by L. The plant is characterized by its red-brown, thorn-covered fruit and contains toxic compounds harmful to animals.

Description

Datura ferox is a member of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. It is commonly called long spined thorn apple, fierce thornapple, and Angel's-trumpets. The plant is toxic, with all parts containing compounds that can be lethal to animals. The fruit, when ripe, is red-brown and has long, prominent thorns.
