Aneilema dregeanum is a species in the genus Aneilema, family Commelinaceae, first described in 1843 by Kunth. It is native to several regions in Southeast Asia and southern Africa.

Description

Aneilema dregeanum belongs to the Commelinaceae family, commonly known as the spiderwort family. This species is found in Cambodia, the Cape Provinces, KwaZulu-Natal, Mozambique, Swaziland, and Vietnam. It was formally described in 1843 by the botanist Kunth. The genus Aneilema includes herbaceous plants typically characterized by their fleshy stems and showy flowers. Aneilema dregeanum is one of several species within this genus that are distributed across tropical and subtropical regions.
