Aneilema biflorum is a perennial herb in the Commelinaceae family, native to eastern Australia. It thrives in moist, shaded environments, particularly near streams. The plant grows to a height of 20 cm and produces white flowers from December to March. Its fruit is wrinkled, flattened, and 4 mm long, containing pale grey seeds.

Description

Aneilema biflorum, described by R.Br. in 1810, is a member of the genus Aneilema within the Commelinaceae family. It is found in New South Wales and Queensland, where it grows as a ground-covering plant in moist and shaded habitats. The species is characterized by its low stature, with white flowers appearing during the warmer months. The fruit is distinctive in its wrinkled and flattened form, measuring 4 mm in length and containing pale grey seeds.
