Ancistrocladus heyneanus, known as kardal, is a liana native to the Western Ghats in southwestern India. It was first described in 1839 by Wall. ex J.Graham and belongs to the family Ancistrocladaceae. The plant is characterized by its alternate, oblong leaves that measure 10–25 cm in length with entire margins.
