Anchusa strigosa is a herbaceous plant in the Boraginaceae family, native to Cyprus, East Aegean Is., Iran, Iraq, Lebanon-Syria, Palestine, and Turkey. It is commonly called strigose bugloss and prickly alkanet.

Description

Anchusa strigosa is a non-succulent herbaceous species belonging to the Boraginaceae family. It is endemic to the Eastern Mediterranean, including regions such as Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, and Iran. The plant is known by the common names strigose bugloss and prickly alkanet. It was first described in 1794 by Soland.
